Katie and Ann's big adventure

Well, what a lovely and exciting trip we had to London. We planned to visit the Pure exhibition at Olympia as we do twice a year but this time we ventured further afield....

When we arrived in London, after our very pleasant train journey down the East coast courtesy of Mr Branson, we jumped on a bus to Westminster to the showroom of Out of Xile, Grizas and Echappes Belles. The impression given by all of these brands was wonderful! Lots of colour and really interesting textures in silks and linen.

We left Westminster and headed to Fulham, on the buses once again. The bus service is fantastic in London, cheap and efficient and a marvelous way of sight seeing in our capital.

Sunday morning found us at Pure, with the sound of Brazilian drums to welcome us! The theme was based around the Olympics and the Salsa dancers were out of this world!

We found several new brands (to us) on this journey, one of which is Dutch brand Zilch. Fabulous jersey dresses in vibrant patterns with matching jackets and knitwear, perfect working dresses or easy to dress up for an occasion.

Eve in Paradise is a German brand which we sold in the shop several seasons ago under its previous name Senas. It is sophisticated and elegant, beautiful linen and gorgeous print jackets, perfect for a wedding or summer graduation.

After a long and busy day at the show, we found a lovely little Greek restaurant in Fulham, a perfect place to end a perfect day.

On Monday we journeyed to the Thames for a visit to Scoop show at Billingsgate market. It was a hot day so after finding two or three more lovely new brands, we walked back along the river, via St Pauls , Embankment and Westminster. Its wonderful to see London so busy with tourists from all over the world.

We loved our trip, seeking out lovely things to sell at Katie Kerr and keeping right up to date with what is happening in the wonderful world of fashion.
